When my husband died I felt lost and financially unprepared for what would happen. I had heard horror stories from friends and family about how long it would take and how much it would cost to settle the estate, and how greed sometimes consumed family members.

I remembered when we signed our living Trust and Wills you told us to call you when something happened to one of us. That was three months ago and everything is done. I can't believe how easy it was, thanks to your guidance, and because you educated me on how to do many of the things myself, the cost was actually reasonable. I think you were right when you said being a teacher before becoming a lawyer has been a real bonus.

Just a quick note to say thanks for doing my estate plan. Over the years I've had two other attorneys prepare Wills and Powers of Attorney. Neither one asked me such probing questions as you. I can't believe you were right. When Mom passed away I became the Trustee of her Trust estate. Because I had taken care of her the last 12 years of her life she left one half to me and the other half to my two brothers. You warned me to do the entire administration "by the book" because you thought at least one brother would get greedy. You were only half right - they were both greedy and demanding.
